Both boys & girls bowling have been added as Midwest Athletic Conference sports, effective the 2020-2021 school year. The inaugural MAC team championship bowling tournaments will take place this weekend, at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater. The girls MAC bowling tournament will begin Friday, February 5, 2021, at 4:30 PM and the boys MAC bowling tournament will begin Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 10:00 AM.
The Midwest Athletic Conference schools are enthusiastic about adding boys & girls bowling as conference sports, as it provides an opportunity for more Midwest Athletic Conference student-athletes to compete for a conference championship and all-conference recognition. The bowling teams, from the MAC schools, have had a tremendous amount of success at the OHSAA state level, as listed below.
MAC Schools – Boys Bowling in the OHSAA State Bowling Tournament 2007-2020 (14 years)
14 appearances in the OHSAA DII State Boys Bowling Tournament Championship Round (top eight teams) – 4 state championships (Coldwater), 2 second-place, 3 third-place, 2 fourth-place, 1 fifth-place and 2 six place
MAC Schools – Girls Bowling in the OHSAA State Bowling Tournament 2007-2020 (14 years)
14 appearances in the OHSAA DII State Girls Bowling Tournament Championship Round (top eight teams) – 4 state championships (Coldwater), 3 second-place, 1 third-place, 2 fourth-place, 2 fifth-place, 1 seventh-place and 1 eighth-place
