The 2022 OHSAA DII Boys Bowling State Tournament was hosted by Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl on Friday, bowling began at 10:45 AM. Both the Coldwater Cavaliers’ boys bowling team and the Versailles Tigers’ boys bowling team , who were the Midwest Athletic Conference team co-champions for 2021-22, participated in the tournament, as well as St. Henry Redskins’ Peyton Thomas as an individual.

Coldwater advanced through the tournament and reached the final, competing against Mechanicsburg. Coldwater jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the best of five format, Mechanicsburg would come back to defeat Coldwater 3-2 in the DII boys bowling state final match. Coldwater finished the season as Midwest Athletic Conference co-champions and runner-up in the OHSAA Boys Bowling DII State Tournament. Congratulations to Coach Hartings and the Coldwater Cavaliers’ boys bowling team on a great season.

Versailles competed against Liberty Center in the first round match. Liberty Center jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the best of five format, Versailles fought back to tie the match at 2-2 before Liberty Center would come back to defeat Versailles 3-2 in the DII boys bowling state first round match. Versailles finished the season as Midwest Athletic Conference co-champions and 5th place in the OHSAA Boys Bowling DII State Tournament. Congratulations to Coach Phlipot and the Versailles Tigers’ boys bowling team on a great season.

St. Henry Redskins’ Peyton Thomas participated as an individual in the OHSAA DII Boys Bowling State Tournament, finishing in 23rd place with a 571 series (203-151-217). Congratulations to Peyton Thomas on a great season.
